IFG1-LR3 is a popular polypeptide that possesses many of the same qualities as the well-known substance, insulin. As a matter of fact, IGF stands for insulin-like-growth factor. IFG1-LR3 is particularly famous for the effects that it has on bone growth.

This pathway is vital for muscle growth and regeneration. However, it’s role in adult muscle response to mechanical load has yet to be determined.
Just like many other substances of this type, there is still a lot that we do not know about IFG1-LR3. Although this polypeptide shows some promising effects, it is still unclear what kind of side-effects may come along as well. Only more studies and more research will determine the use and regulation of IFG1-LR3.
